Team Litz TV (Uses Real Player. ) It takes three commissioners with varied backgrounds and opinions to run a county. Do you want to know why you should vote for Jo Ellen Litz as your County Commissioner? Take a look at her service record. New Posts: 2007 TV Ad 1; 2007 TV Ad 2; Corridor II Jo Ellen introduces a series of clips that showcase her involvement in the community. Her promise to you has been to put People Above Politics. Before it was fashionable, she worked to make government transparent by providing newsletters to community groups, posting commissioner’s votes to a web site, and sending out weekly email alerts with timely County information. Jo Ellen worked hard in 2006 to make sure commissioners purchased voting machines from a financially sound company, and then fought to keep your voting district intact. Whether it was an election issue, getting energy audits back on track, or recouping medical payments due the County, by Taking Action and Getting Results, she stood up and spoke for our citizens, but together, everyone advanced on these issues. As a conscientious voter, you expect more than polished political ads and sound bites from your candidates. You want to know your candidate’s passions and beliefs, what makes them human. Do your elected officials care about your children and our future? Listen to these unscripted responses as she mentors NLHS students (fifteen minutes) by answering their questions. Quality of life is important to Jo Ellen, and we need to keep the charm, culture, and history of our area. So what has she done for you in this area? For many years, decades, she's worked on the Swatara Creek, even helped to save the Bordner cabin, always putting People Above Politics. She's also helped to document some of our special places like farms, Annville, the Veteran’s Memorial, Lebanon, our biggest employer, Fort Indiantown Gap, and Governor Dick. And by championing a goal of 25% renewable energy by the year 2025, she has a vision for a sustainable future where solar, wind, bio-diesel, and ethanol not only reduce our dependency on foreign energy, they support our farmers. But what about our safety? She serves on the prison board and responded to emergencies like the Campbelltown tornado & floods. She participates in TMI and other emergency drills. She's worked with EMA to promote the mapping of unsafe quarries and with the State to create the Stay Out Stay Alive educational video. Then, she created a Community Resource Manual by gathering information, taking pictures of fire companies, schools and municipal buildings, editing, and raising money to privately fund printing of the emergency booklet so this valuable resource wouldn't be a drain on taxpayer resources--once again putting People Above Politics. In short, she's kept her promise to put People Above Politics, Took Action to Get Results, and she respectfully asks for your support and your vote. Files Sizes:
