County Municipal Building and Court System

The Municipal Building was built in 1963 and is located at 400 South 8th Street, Lebanon, PA  17042.  Phone (717)274-2801.

Handicap access is available at the rear of the building where six parking spaces are reserved.  For assistance call the Commissioner's office.

Hours of operation are:    Monday - Friday  8:30-4:30   Evening Meetings may be scheduled Monday and Thursday 6:30-9:30pm.  Use of County meeting rooms shall be limited to government affiliated or supported agencies and organizations (March 29, 1988).  Reservation for meeting rooms will be reviewed in the County Commissioners Office.  Approval dates for meetings will be on a first come basis.  No signs may be erected, and no loud speakers are allowed in the lobby.  

Be prepared to go through a security check.  Items like knives and guns must be checked before entering the courthouse.  Further, no cell phones are allowed on the third floor.

If you need to get in touch with any one at the court house, please dial 717-274-2801 or fax 717-274-8094.    When you have a concern about procedure, protocol is to contact the commissioner assigned to represent a specific department.   Commissioner liaison assignments are found on the commissioner's page.  Also, the courts are under Judge Eby, marked with a red C.

City of Lebanon   The City of Lebanon Zoning regulation pertaining to political signs is found in Section 1323.04(E)(1)(1) of the Zoning Code.  Signs shall only be displayed in a yard or from a structure and in no case shall the display area exceed sixteen (16) square feet.  Additionally, all signs shall not be displayed more than sixty (60) days prior to an election and removed within two (2) weeks after an election.  No signs of any type are allowed on utility poles, traffic signal poles....  Likewise, signs may not be erected in any portion of the City right-of-way, including sidewalks, planting strips, shrub areas along streets, and islands between streets.  Call William Logan, building/zoning officer with questions at 273-6711 between 8AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday.

Earned Income Tax Bureau does not fall under the supervision of the county commissioners.  Rather, the Lebanon EIT Bureau board of directors is comprised of two school board members from each of Lebanon County's School Districts:  Annville Cleona, Cornwall Lebanon, Easter Lebanon, Lebanon, Palmyra, and Northern Lebanon.  Likewise, tax collected by the Lebanon EIT Bureau supports public schools, not the County of Lebanon.
