At her own expense, Litz graduated from the County Commissioners Association of PA Academy of Excellence, and continued her course of study to become one of only thee commissioners statewide to graduate in 2006 from the Advanced Academy.  Upon successful completion of both courses, she was appointed to the Board of the Academy.  The Board's responsibility is to establish and review the academy's curriculum, faculty, administration, and marketing in regard to meeting the educational needs of the greater CCAP membership.
