PRO:

Yes. The only problem I see with that is that it might take money away from children of the offender who need to be supported from the offenders wages. To take money to pay for their prison cell should not take food or health care from children. It's like sentencing children for what their parent has done. If there are adequate wages to take care of both, I think its a good idea. Maybe we should set a fee and charge everyone then require the offender (or their family) to apply for a deviation from the order. Make them tell us why they can't pay the bill. [Pam Tricamo]
